Annick's story

Annick is a busy entrepreneur who runs a business of gas trade. Annick is also a refugee from Burundi. She left her home country with her husband due to political instabilities. Upon their arrival, Annick decided to start a business of selling gas so that she can afford paying family bills, as well as school fees for her three children. Annick is passionate at what she does, and she was an active participant in the AEC/Inkomoko trainings.

She started with selling a small portion of gas, but she has now secured several contracts with clients whom she provides with gas. The previous loan helped her buy an additional motorcycle to deliver gas to her clients. She was also able to increase the salaries of her four employees. Annick values her relationship with clients such that after moving, she kept delivering to clients from her previous location.

She is requesting another loan to expand her business by increasing the stock of gas to also service wholesalers. Annick’s business has helped her settle well in a new country, where she has improved her standards of living as well as provided quality education to her children.
