Harriet's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more medicine and used clothes to sell.

Harriet's story

Meet 22-year-old Harriet from Liberia. She is living with her partner along with 2 children. Both of her children are currently attending school while living at home.

Harriet runs a business where she sells medicine and used clothes. She has dealt in this business for the past 6 years now and works 15 hours per day, 6 days a week. For the time being, she has no problem with her business. Harriet requested this loan from BRAC Liberia, Kiva's field partner, to purchase more medicine and used clothes to sell. She says that the income from this loan will help improve their standard of living.

In the future, she wants to continue to educate her children and to build a house. She says thank you and sends appreciation to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.
