A loan helped to buy additional bananas to resell.

Bartolome's story

Bartolome is a 63-year-old businessman from Munoz, Nueva Ecija. He is happily married to Virginia, and they are blessed with three children who are still pursuing their studies.

As the source of their daily income, he has been selling different varieties of bananas in their public market for almost four years. His recent loan was used for his banana business which helps him to earn additional income.

For being a good paying client for about two years, Alalay sa Kaunlaran (ASKI), Inc. entrusted Bartolome again with a loan amounting to 30,000 PHP under their business loan program which he will use to buy additional bananas to resell and for the payment of their stall rental.

Bartolome's dream is to expand his business and for his children to finish their studies. He hopes that with the help of ASKI and Kiva lenders, he will become successful in his business.
