Toti's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy petrol for the boat and also a new fishing net for her fishing business.

Toti's story

Toti is 42 years old. Her husband is a fisherman, and they have three teenagers. They live in an old two-bedroom house, with all their children attending high school.

Toti and her husband work together in running a business of fishing, where they have their own fishing boat. Two other men in the village join her husband for fishing. Their fishing mainly depends on the weather. They always take the high tide. When the weather is not very kind, the business will be slow in running, and Toti has to figure out another way to earn money for the family. She sells the fish and some other seafood from her own tent at a fish market.

They make very good money from their business, and Toti is applying for a loan in order to buy petrol and new fishing net, for the old one is almost worn out. Their short-term goal is to build a bigger and new house for their family, for the children are growing and a two-bedroom house does not work for them.
