Tekojoja Group's story

The group “Tekojoja” is in its first cycle of the program. The group is made up of 12 women, all of them neighbours and friends of the area. They do everything possible to get ahead with their families. It is a new committee with high expectations and willing to improve in order to help their families.

One of the members is Virginia who has a general store. Her humble business has allowed her to give her family a decent life without having to face hardships. She looks for how to improve herself, since she is who provides the support to her home. Virginia defines herself as a struggling, enterprising and noble person, capable of undertaking what she sets out to do.

She is requesting this loan to be able to buy drinks, baked goods, vegetables, fruits, meats, canned food and others, in order to continue with her sales.
