Jean Marie's story
Jean Marie is 56 years old. He is married and has three children who are still in his care. He lives in an area on the outskirts of town. His owns his house, which is still built out of dirt. He has raised pigs and grown tomatoes for 20 years. His spouse sells vegetables so she can take care of family expenses. He is a good Vahatra partner. He was able to make some repairs on his house with the gains from the earlier loan. He would like to build up his job in order to raise his income. He needs the support of lenders to buy two medium pigs, cassava, and feed to ensure the nourishment of his herds. Otherwise, the money will be used to buy seeds and fertilizer to improve his tomato cultivation. He hopes to make a profit from it and plans on investing in raising cattle.
