Burulzhan's story

Burulzhan, 54, widowed and has two children. She has secondary education. She is a hard-working and cheerful woman.

As a main source of income for her family, Burulzhan has been engaged in animal husbandry and crop farming since 1990. Thanks to Burulzhan's relentless work, today there are two cows and 20 sheep on her farm. She also owns a plot of land measured 1.56 hectares where she grows rice.

Aiming to further develop her farming business, Burulzhan applied for a loan in the amount of 100,000 som (KGS) to buy onion seeds, with the goal of increasing her income from organic onion sales.

The profits from the loan will help Burulzhan to renovate her house and increase her livestock headcount.
