Mervedi Group's story

Esperence is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and heads the village bank "Mervedi". She is 33 years old, married and has six children who all go to school. Her partner is a shopkeeper.

She sells various food products. She started this business in 2016 with start up funds from her husband. Later on, she got involved with Hekima to support her business, which helped her progressively. With the new loan, she wants to buy six bags of corn flour, which will strengthen her starting capital. The challenge of her job is linked to the rain seasons which make her products more perishable.

Esperence would like her children to go school and for her to grow her business further. She thanks Hekima and its partners for their support for non-bancable business owners.
