Hellen's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase farming inputs, such as hybrid seeds, to boost the quality of her crop farm, earn more profits and elevate her standard of living.

Hellen's story

Hellen, pictured inside her house, lives in the beautiful land of Matuu, an area with hilly scenery that is good for camping and hiking. Hellen is married to a fellow farmer. Her family's main income source is milk from their dairy and crop farming. She has been in the business of mixed farming for the past fifteen years.

In Kenya, agriculture is one of the most competitive industries, especially because of the high cost of operations necessary to improve farming. Such costs include land acquisition and inputs, the costs of which have always skyrocketed. To meet the high costs of inputs, farmers have been forced to borrow from financial institutions, which sometimes impose very complicated procedures for loan distribution. That is why Hellen is seeking a loan to purchase farming inputs, such as hybrid seeds, to boost the quality of her crop farm, earn more profits, and elevate her standard of living. Through this loan, Hellen will be assured of a bumper harvest, which will mean more profits and income. Using this loan, she will be able to expand her enterprise. Hellen hopes you will consider her appeal for the loan. She is so thankful for your continued support and for all her previous loans.
