Total loan: $700

Kamwenge, Western Region, Uganda / Agriculture

Wilson's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more bulls for fattening and to sell.

Wilson's story

Wilson is a cattle keeper. He is a happily married man, aged 54, with eight children of whom four are school going children and two dependents (cattle keepers).

Wilson lives in Kamwenge-Uganda. He earns a living from rearing cattle alongside banana farming.

The family's major source of income is cattle with experience of more than 10 years.

They buy mainly bulls, rear them for some time (referred to as cattle fattening) and sell them at a later at higher prices. This enables them to earn profits, which they use to educate the children and meeting other family needs.

Wilson’s business is profitable, but he is limited by capital which is still not enough to develop his business.

Wilson is therefore requesting a loan to buy more bulls for fattening and to sell so as to pay his children's school fees.
