but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fabrics.

06_Ngadji Group's story

This group is composed of 22 women who share strong bonds of solidarity and mutual support. They live in the same village and took the opportunity to join the village bank when it was set up in their local area in May 2010. Their main activity is running small stores.

Madame Ndioba (standing on the far right of the photo with her hand raised) is the group's representative. She is 33 years old, divorced and has four children, two of whom are girls. She runs a store selling fabrics. She has gained a lot of experience in this area because she has been working in it for many years.

She plans to use this new loan to buy bales of fabric (African prints and voile) in Dakar in order sell them in her village. She will use the profits to boost her savings and meet her and her children's needs.
