06_Kir Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy sacks of millet, peanuts, and black-eyed peas.

06_Kir Group's story

This group is composed of four women who share strong bonds of solidarity and mutual aid. They live in the same village and jumped at the chance to join the banc villageois when it started up in their area in December 2007. Their main job is retail.

Fama, standing on the far right of the photo with the raised hand, is the group’s representative. She is 56 years old. She is married and the mother of seven children. She sells peanuts, millet and black-eyed peas. She benefits from experience in this field, from having worked in it for many years.

With this new loan, she counts on buying sacks of millet, peanuts, and black-eyed peas in the weekly markets, to resell them in the local market.

With the profits, she counts on building up her savings, developing her business feeding animals, and satisfying her personal needs.
