Tecito Djinkore Group's story
Fatou is the representative of the Tecito Djinkore group (which means "to be ready to work" in Wolof, the local language most spoken in Senegal) and she is the one holding the goat in the photo. She is 30 years old, mother of three children, aged between 6 and 16 years old. Her children are all in school. She has not received an education. Her husband is a farmer. She has been breeding cattle for one year. She buys her cattle and resells it in the weekly markets and at home. Fatou's dream is to develop her activity in order to provide for family needs, in particular the health and education of her children and possibly food for the family. This loan will help her to strengthen her activity by buying more goats to resell in the weekly markets of the locality. However she is sometimes faced with cattle theft and natural death. She is a very good client of VisionFund Senegal and is in a good group.
