These five woman are part of a "banc villageois" created in December 2009. They live in the same village, they are relatives and friends, and they maintain good social relationships. Their main business activity is trade.

Madame Fatou is 53 years old and the head of the group. She is on the right side of the photo with her hand raised. She is married and the mother of eight children, five of whom are boys.

Fatou runs a business selling cereals, legumes, and an assortment of products. She stocks up at weekly markets and resells goods at her local market. She has over ten years of valuable experience in this sector.

She will buy ten big bags of millet, 500 kg of peanuts, pay for transportation and labour, and resell goods at reasonable prices. She has a talent for selling various products and does well for herself.

She uses her profits to pay for household expenses and to boost her savings.
