Alexander's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped us to build a new pack shed/wash station on our farm.
Alex Bowman-Brown, Justin Moore and Davis Mcdonald are co-owners of Fiddler’s Green Farm. Alex grew up in Montana, Justin in Vermont and Davis in Idaho and the Oregon coast. Growing up spending time outside in areas surrounded by natural beauty has given them a deeply ingrained environmental ethic rooted in their shared appreciation for the natural world. Alex worked many different jobs that led him down the path to farming. He has previously built trails in Montana, done stints in Seattle restaurants, worked on many ecological restoration projects in the northwest, and spent summers working on multiple farms in Washington, Montana and Idaho. These experiences have made him passionate about food and working with the natural environment. Justin Moore grew up appreciating plants and listening to and playing punk rock. The counterculture views of punk and his love of plants led him to spend summers working on organic farms across the country. In 2008 he completed the University Of California Santa Cruz Sustainable Agriculture Program. He then spent the next 7 years as a harvest manager on a local Boise farm while growing seed garlic on the side. Davis Macdonald worked for seven years in the wholesale flower industry, followed by 5 seasons of growing cut flowers in Boise’s unforgiving climate. He loves flowers and vegetables. Even at a young age he grew sunflowers in his backyard. His lifelong love of flowers and his years of flower experience have helped him become a very passionate flower farmer.
