Yocelin's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to finish building her house.

Yocelin's story

Yocelin works as a gas station attendant in the community of Zapallal. Zapallal is a small roadside town by the Pan-Amarican highway that is composed of a mixture of Latino and Afro-Latino inhabitants.

Apart from working at the gas station, in her free time Yocelin sells "cocadas," which is a sweet made out of coconut and sugar cane in her village. She has been making and selling these cocadas for over four years.

Thanks to her tenacity, hard-work and dedication to providing a better quality of life to her son as a single mother, she has generated enough income to send her child to school and also buy a small land to build a house for her and her son.

With this loan, she aims to finish building her house and buy some raw materials to grow her cocadas business.

Yocelin has always worked for the education of her son and is known in her community for being very dedicated and responsible.

Thanks for joining us in providing Yocelin with her first Kiva loan and improving her house conditions.
