A loan helped to buy quality seed.

Wadyere Cova Group's story

Susan is a female Ugandan aged 33 years. She is married and lives in Lira with 4 children, all of whom attend school. She describes herself as being honest.

Susan is a farmer who grows maize, soya, simsim, sorghum, and sunflowers. She has done this for the past 10 years and is supported by her husband, who is also a farmer. She sells produce and cooking oil for additional income to supplement her farming. Her major challenges are drought and high transport costs of getting her harvest from the garden to the market.

Susan is requesting a loan of 6,900,000 UGX to buy quality seed so she can get a good harvest. She will use her sale profits to pay school fees for her children and also meet her family's other needs. Her dream is to expand her farm. She is grateful to Kiva for the support.
