Lizmarie's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped me to access capital for my new pastry shop.
I was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico. However the majority of my life I lived in Juana Díaz with my parents and brothers. The place where I had a beautiful childhood, replete with love and quality family time. My parents instilled excellent values and remain true examples to follow. Some of the lessons they taught me that always remain present were to value and respect my work, fight for every goal, be optimistic, and never give up. When accepted in College I decided to study Office System Administration obtaining my bachelor’s degree and working for almost 10 years as a secretary. I loved my work but inside me boiled a passion to become an entrepreneur so I could have my own pastry business. I had already picked out a name for what would one day be my pastry shop. I was scared and my time while working was limited in order to learn how to bake pastries from scratch so I saw my dream as a faraway possibility. Sugar Dreams by Lizmarie began by me leaving my fears behind and fighting for my ambitions filled with sweets. People called me a dreamer, but I call me a WOMEN ENTREPRENOUR who has survived Hurracane Maria and the earthquake of January 2020, this has motivates me to keep going with my business, and have the time to spend with my family. I love to serve, to share what I know, to help another women grow in this path.
