Ana's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped cultivate plantain and cocoyam.

Ana's story

Ana is a dynamic and responsible young indigenous woman who lives in the Darien region of Panama. She is an outstanding leader and the treasurer of the local community bank of Pueblo Nuevo. It is a small financial institution that provides the members of the community the ability to have savings, take out small loans, and have access to financial literacy.

She has taken six different loans in the past and paid back punctually all of them. Ana's responsibility has opened her doors in the community.

Her main business has been traditional indigenous Embera artcraft making. With this loan, she aims to buy the necessary materials to plant plantain and cocoyam, which is a taro root crop, as she has identified that the demand for these two agricultural products is increasing, and her family has decades of experience in agriculture.

Ana is the mother of two children, and her goal is through entrepreneurship to provide a better life quality and future for them. Thanks for contributing to Ana's goal!
