These 17 good and honest women are part of the 'banc villageois' set up in the area in December 2013. They live in the same village and keep up good social and professional ties. They have paid back several loans successfully. Their main work is in commerce.

Aby Moussa is a lady who is 60 years old. She is sitting at the far right in the photo with a hand raised. The married mother of two children, who are employed adults, she is active in small-scale commerce selling grocery items. Her goods come from the weekly markets and are sold in her village at her home and at the elementary school. She has over ten years of experience in this sector of commerce.

With her new loan, she is going to purchase a 50-kg sack of peanuts, 10 kg of sugar, 3 kg of chili peppers, some dried fish, … that she will resell for a reasonable profit. The profits will be saved at the 'banc villageois' and used to cover sundry expenses.
