01_Kamdiack2 Group's story

This Banc Villageois exists since December 2013 and regroups 21 women who live in the same village. They are related and share good social and work relationships. They repaid several loans on time. Their main business is retail.

Mrs. Khady, age 55, is the group's featured borrower. In the photograph, she's on the right, wearing a yellow and green sari. She's married and the mother of seven children, including two girls.

Khady runs a retail business selling cereals and various food products (cassava, black-eyed peas, etc). She buys her products in the weekly markets and resells in her village where she owns a shop. She has four years of experience in this field.

She will use her new loan to buy 10 bags of millet and 5 bags of beans that she will resell at affordable prices. She's passionated about retail and has many customers. She uses her profits to pay her children's schooling, help cover family expenses and increase her savings.
