Elizabeth's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer for the cultivation of maize.

Elizabeth's Group's story

Elizabeth, pictured above, has been a farmer for 13 years, and is now proud to represent her group of 18 farmers in Lugari District. She is 39 years old, married, and has four children.

Elizabeth likes to think of herself as a very trustworthy person. She has been working alongside One Acre Fund since 2017 and decided to represent her group because she wanted to help more farmers. She says that being part of the One Acre Fund community has meant that she has learned a lot from farming trainings. Elizabeth plans to use the profits from this coming season to send her children to school.

In total, Elizabeth’s Group will receive inputs to cultivate 9.5 acres of land. Given that some members of the group will also be purchasing a solar light, with this loan, the group will also receive a total of 8 solar lights.
