Alphonce's Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy seeds and fertilizer to improve maize harvests.

Alphonce's Group's story

Pictured above is Alphonce, who is often described as an extremely resourceful person. He is 52 years old, the father of seven children, and the leader of a group of seven farmers in the Alego District of Kenya.

Alphonce is returning this season to work with the One Acre Fund because it means that he has access to quality training and new farming methods. This is why he decided to join in the first place, and Alphonce says that he is happy to have made that decision because, since he first joined in 2017, he has been able to consistently feed his family. This has improved his day-to-day life significantly, and he plans to use this year's profits to send his children to school.

The group will use this loan to buy seeds and fertilizer to plant a total of six acres.
