Lydia's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy farm inputs and pay for hired labor in order to grow her horticulture farm and improve her life this season.

Lydia's story

Lydia is a mother of three children living in Eldoret, a town surrounded by prime agricultural lands, which favor large-scale grain farming, dairy and horticultural farming. She is very pleased to share her profile on this platform ahead of International Women’s Day. She is a crop and animal farmer and a mother eager to provide the very best for her family. Behind her beautiful face is a mother who has experienced poverty first-hand, but has always triumphed.

Lydia is seeking a 30,000 KES loan, which she will use to pay for farm inputs and hired labor in order to grow more crops. It takes a lot for a smallholder farmer to risk limited resources to expand a farm business. With your help, Lydia will be able to meet the high cost of farm inputs necessary for expansion. A significant portion of the profits will be reinvested in the business to fuel growth as Lydia sets a good foundation for her children.

She hopes to be able to progress as a female smallholder farmer and have a more stable income.
