A loan helped to stock up on rice, sugar, beans, and candy for her business.

Tomasa's story

Tomasa is 52 years old. She is a very hardworking and independent woman. The need to have an income in order to provide for her children led her to set up a small grocery store in her home. She started out selling soft drinks and candy and has been in business now for twenty years. She is a single mother and her children are her main motivation to keep going day by day.

Tomasa is requesting a Kiva loan through MiCredito to buy rice, sugar, beans, and candy. She wants to stock up on the products her regular customers demand in order for her store not to lose any sales.

In the future she plans to improve her home's infrastructure and create a larger space for her grocery store, as she wants to further expand and diversify her business.
