Flor Maria's story

Tosagua is a productive neighborhood. They grow cacao, coffee, plantain, corn and more. Ranchers raise birds and pigs. Their gastronomy is well recognized in the area. Their main dishes are fried fish and grilled beef. Flor Maria is 33 years old. She is in a relationship and has three children of 3, 10 and 13 years old who are in school.

Flor, in order to help with part of the household costs, works selling products from the Yanbal catalogues (beauty products, cosmetics, perfumes and accessories for women).

She works three days a week, two to three hours a day. She leaves her products on credit and collects every eight days. With this new loan she will buy perfumes, creams, jewelry, and more. Her dreams is for her family to be very healthy and for her children to continue studying.
