This group was created in December 2012, grouping energetic, solidary micro-entrepreneurial women who partake mainly in commerce and livestock fattening. DIEUMBE, standing to the right of the photo with her hand raised, is a 54-year-old married mother of four girls. She is the group representative. She sells grains and has a lot of experience in this sector. She plans to buy sacks of millet, peanuts, and corn at wholesale that she will sell at retail in the weekly markets to which she goes. The rest of the loan will go towards transporting the products. With the profits she is going to earn, she envisions saving up in the banc villageois, growing her business, and also meeting her children’s needs.
