01_Lehar Group's story

This group of 11 women was started from the "Banc Villageois" created locally in October 1995. They live in the same village, are related, friends or neighbors, and maintain good relationships of mutual assistance. They paid back over forty loans and their main business is trade.
Madam Anasthasia, 37 years old, at the right of the picture with her hand raised, is the group's representative. She is married and the mother of four children, including one boy, all attending school.
Madam Anasthasia has a business fattening pigs. She buys her animals in the village and in neighboring villages and raises them locally. She has over 10 years experience in this field.
She will buy 4 piglets, five bags of feed, one pack of gloves and a pair of boots. She has a pen where she raises her livestock. She has no trouble selling because she takes good care of her animals which yield good quality meat.
With her profits, she increases her savings pays for her son's education and helps her husband managing their household.
