Wakata's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to bulk buy kava supplies and Fijian tobacco.

Wakata's story

Wakata is an 55-year-old businesswoman who's been running a kava business for some time now from the comfort of her home. (Kava is a drink made from the root of the kava plant.) She has thus far been able to provide for some of her family's needs and wants with whatever she could spare from her businesses returns.

Now with the increase in the cost of living in the country, she has often found herself taking more from the business simply to provide for some of her family's needs. With her business currently struggling, she is in need of some financial assistance to help replenish her kava (social drink) supply to meet the market demand. She will also add-in Fijian tobacco (suki) to boost her business

She knows that with good financial backing, her business might be in a better position to flow and make some much needed revenue, which means funds would not need to be taken from the business and it should be enough to provide for her family.
