Jaqualine's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer for the cultivation of maize.

Jaqualine's Group's story

Jaqualine, pictured above, has been a farmer for 11 years. She is now proud to represent her group of 9 farmers in the Alego District. She is 37 years old, married, and has 4 children.

Jaqualine likes to think of herself as a very hardworking individual. She has been working alongside One Acre Fund since 2019 and decided to represent her group because she wanted to spread the story of One Acre Fund farmers. She says that being part of the One Acre Fund community has meant that she has been able to consistently feed her family. Jaqualine plans to use the profits from this coming season to send her children to school.

In total, Jaqualine’s Group will receive inputs to cultivate 2.5 acres of land. Given that some members of the group will also be purchasing a solar light with this loan, the group will also receive a total of 6 solar lights.
