Flora's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to gain access to cost-efficient hybrid seeds and fertilizer for crop cultivation for this woman with a good credit history.

Flora's story

Dear Kiva community! The nice woman in this photo is Flora, a 60-year-old mom of eight and a tireless and determined woman who works daily on her mixed farm. She started farming twenty years ago. On the farm she has dairy cows and also rears poultry. Flora loves farming and she grows different crop varieties. Recently she has been growing maize on her farm.

Flora is seeking a 60,000 KES loan, which she will use to pay for farm inputs, fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides. Flora’s age limits her ability to use the artificial weed control methods she has always been used to. Flora has risked most of her resources trying to expand her crop enterprise and now she has been left poor, with no savings on hand.

With your help, Flora will be able to meet the high cost of farm inputs necessary for expansion. Flora wishes to plough her profit back into farming, as she is optimistic that through farming she will be able to completely change her life.

Help this wonderful mother and make her life beautiful.
