Margaret's Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy cost efficient maize seeds and fertilizer for the coming harvesting season, as well as a solar light.

Margaret's Group's story

Margaret is a 61-year-old proud mother of 4 children. She is a group leader, often described as a very friendly person, and is representing her group of 5 farmers in Alego District. Since she joined One Acre Fund in 2015, Margaret has noticed that she has learnt a lot from farming trainings.

Margaret described her last year harvest as very good, but believes she can have a better one this year by continuing to work with One Acre Fund. She is very excited to also be purchasing a solar light, apart from fertilizer and maize, because she will now be able to have light during dark hours for her children to be able to study. With the profits from this season’s harvest, she plans to send her children to school.

With this loan, Margaret’s Group will be able to plant 1 acres of land and purchase a total of 2 solar lights.
