Grace's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped a single woman borrower with good credit standing to buy farm inputs to improve her productivity, leading to increased profits to support her children until they finish school.

Grace's story

Get to know Grace, a single mom (pictured inside her house). She was raised in a family that lived in extreme poverty, and she did not have the opportunity to advance her education. However, that did not kill her dream of wanting to succeed in life. Farming skills are the only thing she inherited from her poor parents. Today, Grace sells her farm's produce in a local market. To earn additional income, Grace makes a commission on sales because she helps to arrange the logistics of getting farm produce from local farmers to their buyers. She continually makes efforts to build strong relationships, because reputation is everything in her line of work. Grace is seeking a loan of 80,000 KES to buy seeds and improve her crop farming on her farm. She wants to take advantage of favorable weather patterns, a good road network in her village, good soil, and a ready market for crop products to reap more profits. Grace hopes that with this loan she will improve her living conditions.
