08-Nguidir Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy monkey bread, bissap, and gasoline for her shop.

08-Nguidir Group's story

The 'banc villageois’ was established in December 2011 and houses this group of three women, who operate small revenue-generating businesses. The women are from the same village and have good relationships.

Ms. Mariama, with her hand raised in photo, is the group's representative. She is 60, married, and the mother of ten children, and she has two other children to support.

With her new loan, she intends to supply her shop, purchase monkey bread [the fruit of the baobab tree], bissap [dried hibiscus flowers], and some sugar to make juice drinks and ice cream. Also, she is going to buy gasoline to sell. Once the profits are made, she plans to save money to renew her inventory and to support her children.
