Eunice's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped a single woman borrower with a good credit standing to buy farm inputs to improve her productivity, leading to increased profits to support her children until they finish school.

Eunice's story

With her great drive and perseverance, Eunice (66 year old single mom) has been a successful mixed farmer and has been able to educate and support her children.

Eunice is a proud owner of a small parcel of land on which she has been practicing dairy and mixed farming for the past five years.

Like many other farmers in the region, Eunice grows maize, which is a staple crop, that she has been planting for as long as she can remember. She also raises cows.

Over time, the fertility of her land has started to dwindle and her maize yields are decreasing with each season. Eunice’s farmland has also been affected by weeds.

Eunice is currently requesting a loan from Juhudi Kilimo, via Kiva lenders, in order to buy fertilizer, pesticides and high-quality seeds. Through this loan, Eunice expects to increase her crop production, which will translate into an improved harvest and a higher income. Thus, this loan will change Eunice’s living standards.

Eunice is confident that if you invest in her business, this planting season will be a great year for her.

She thanks you wholeheartedly for your help and she hopes for your warm response because she knows you always have her back.
