Susana's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy raw materials for her handicrafts business and also pay for her kids’ school fees.

Susana's story

Susana is 33 years old. She is married to a carpenter and they have two children.

Susana runs a handicrafts business where she makes kiekie and Tongan dancing costumes using only raw materials of nature. In a week, she makes three to four kiekie, depending on the customer's demand and her availability. When her husband gets home from work, he helps her by braiding the hibiscus and other materials. She only makes the costumes when the customers request them. She mainly makes kiekie. She sells her kiekie and costumes from her home and sometimes takes them to the local market, but their church youth are using her to make the youth's kiekie for their occasions.

She is hoping to use her loan money to buy more raw materials for her business and also pay for her kids’ education fees. Currently they are living in a small house, and Susana wishes that one day she will build a bigger and better house for her family and for her children to grow up in.
