Las Crucitas 1 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase classified potato seeds, fertilizers, and soil amendments to prepare the land to plant potatoes and to care for them.

Las Crucitas 1 Group's story

María, 39 years old, is in a common-law marriage, has four children, and lives with her children and spouse in a village which belongs to the municipality of Intibucá.

She has been growing potatoes of excellent quality on her farmland for over 19 years. She sells this yield in the local market, from which she gets her own income.

She has asked for a loan from the institution as a group with the end of purchasing classified potato seeds, fertilizers, and soil amendments to prepare the land to plant potatoes and to care for them.

Her plan is to continue expanding her production to get better performance and use her earnings to provide sustenance to her family.

The group, called Las Crucitas 1, is made up of 3 members who live in the same community and work growing potatoes. The group loan is for 40,000 lempiras and they will use it to plant, fertilize, and expand their potato crops. In the photo they are, from left to right, María Guillermina, Lucila, and María Agripina.
