Los Amigos Group's story

The Los Amigos Group is composed of three members, who are very hardworking and enterprising people, fighting together to improve their quality of life and that of their families. One of the members is Nidia, a single woman of 62 years and a good manager of the few resources that she has to live a decent life. She has a businesses making and selling tortillas, Nicaraguan tamales, and ground coffee, which she has had for 39 years and with which she has supported her child. In her free time, she visits sick people in the health center in town close to where she lives. She is requesting a loan from Fundenuse with Kiva funds to buy corn, lime, and essential products for making tamales at a good price to obtain more earnings from her products. In the future, she hopes to be able to grow her business and obtain very good earnings in order to improve her house. In the photo from left to right are Nidia, María, and Roger.
