Luz Marina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for a new sewing machine, which will mean better work equipment and make higher quality clothing.

Luz Marina's story

Luz lives with her 3 children, ages 16, 12 and 7. She is legally married, but her husband left their home when she was pregnant with their third daughter. Luz works in her sewing workshop and also sells pupusas, both of which she has been doing for 6 years. She works in the sewing workshop Monday through Saturday from 8am to 3pm, and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, she sells pupusas from 4pm to 8pm.

Luz was inspired by one of her friends, who also owns a sewing workshop, and who gave her classes in order to start her own business.

This loan will be invested in the purchase of a new sewing machine, with which she will be able to make clothing items of better quality. Luz expects this investment to help her to have a more advanced machine in her inventory, with which she will be able to increase her production, complete all requests from her clients, and generate income to sustain her family. Her inspiration is to make her business grow and to have a better quality of life for her and her sons.
