Esther's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy an additional dairy cow and meet the overwhelming demand for milk in her area.

Esther's story

Esther is a 43-year-old mother of three children living in Thika, a town surrounded by prime agricultural lands that favor large-scale grain farming, dairy, and horticultural farming. She is a mixed farmer who has farmed for the last 15 years. Today, she has achieved great milestones in terms of diversifying by growing different crops and introducing farm animals such as dairy cows.

Esther has managed to take care of her family with the income she earns from selling milk. She has always wanted to buy another dairy cow, but the lack of capital has prevented her from doing so. She is now seeking a loan to buy an additional dairy cow so that she can improve her milk-selling business.

The cow she intends to buy is a breed that produces rich, creamy milk. As a result of obtaining this cow, she will have more milk to sell, which will translate into more income. Demand for milk in her area is high, but the supply is low. With this loan, Esther is going to have more milk and will comfortably meet demand.

Her vision is to own even more dairy cows in the future.
