06_Keur Serigne Est Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy wool and boxes of hair extensions.

06_Keur Serigne Est Group's story

This group is made up of 13 women, who share strong ties of solidarity and mutual aid. They all live in the same area and had an opportunity to join a banc villageois, which was established in December 2008. The women work primarily in small-scale commerce.

Yacine (who is standing on the far right in the photo with her hand raised) is the group's representative. She is 47 years old, married, and a mother of five children. She has two daughters and the youngest child is 12 years old.

Yacine works selling wool and hair extensions. She has experience with this work, because she has been doing it now for several years.

With her loan, she plans to buy wool and boxes of hair extensions (artificial hair for women), which she will resell in her area.

She will use her profits to increase her savings, develop her business, and support her husband with the family expenses.
