Agnes's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to hire more labour to help her on her farm so that she can improve her produce and make more income to support her children.

Agnes's story

One of the qualities that come out clearly when you pay attention on the life of Agnes is her determination. Agnes (a 41-year-old mother of six children) is a hardworking mother who has gone through many adversities, but she always triumphs. She is a resourceful woman who has never lost her hope of wanting to be successful. Despite the tough living conditions in her area, she has always focused on success.

Working on her farm has become more tiresome since she works alone. After learning about Juhudi Kilimo, Agnes applied for this loan to hire more labour to help her on her farm so that she can improve her produce and make more income to support her children.

Unlike most microfinance institutions in Kenya that have imposed very complicated procedures in order to acquire funds that thereby discourage smallholder farmers, Juhudi Kilimo is working closely with Kiva to make loan acquisition for a smallholder farmer easy and convenient. Through this intervention, movement of funds in the rural communities has increased, thereby alleviating rural poverty.

Please support a woman in achieving her dreams this month of love.
