Elmira's story

Elmira, age 54, is married and has 4 children. She has a college education. She knows agricultural techniques and is able to invest money for its intended purpose. She has been raising livestock as her family's main source of income since 2001. Thanks to her tireless work, her farm now has 4 cows and 10 sheep. She has 4.44 hectares of irrigated land, on which she grows clover, potatoes and barley.
In order to further develop her farm, Elmira has turned to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan in the amount of 150,000 som (KGS) for the purchase of livestock, with the aim of increasing revenue from livestock raising. Elmira plans to invest revenue from the loan in the further development of her farm, and to improve her family's standard of living.
