Mario's story

Mario is a 54-year-old businessman from San isidro, Nueva Ecija. He is happily married to Marites, a fruit and vegetable dealer. They are blessed with four children.

He has been engaged in a poultry business selling quail eggs. After the quail lay eggs, they prepare them and send them to different markets near their town. Through this business, he and his loving wife are able to support and send their children in school.

Mario has been a reliable client of Alalay sa Kaunlaran (ASKI) Inc. for about seven years. His previous loan was used to buy farm inputs for their poultry business. He has been entrusted with a loan of 70,000 PHP under ASKI's agricultural loan program. His loan proceeds will be used to buy feed for the quail so that they can easily lay eggs.

Mario's dream was to expand their business. He believes that with the help of ASKI and Kiva lenders, he can provide employment to his local area.
