but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped her to buy farming inputs and to pay for hand laborers.

Carmen Elizabeth's story

Carmen, 28 years old, is the mother of three children who are 10,8 and 2. She lives in the rural area of Cumbaltar in a rented house. She has a husband who works far away and does not spend much time at home, leaving Carmen to have all the responsibility for the household and the children. For this reason life has been difficult for Carmen. She works in agriculture in order to feed her children every day.
She has requested help from Kiva to pay for expenses in farming inputs and to pay for hand laborers for her potato cultivation and to be able to buy dairy cows. This way, she will have another source of income to be able to educate her children.
