Gneta Group's story

Abdoulaye is the one holding the cow's leash in his hand among the others. He is 32 years old, married, and the father of 2 children, ages 2 and 4 years old. His spouse is a housekeeper and also does other income-generating activities such as hand embroidery for the well-being of the family. He has been raising bovines for 3 years. He stocks up at the weekly markets in his area.

Abdoulaye can earn an estimated profit of 70,000 to 80,000fcfa per animal. With the sale of his animals he is able to meet the family's nutritional needs, medical bills, and school fees of his children. At present, he has 4 steers that he maintains with lots of veterinary care. He is generous and has a good reputation in his village.

Abdoulaye wishes to have another subsequent loan to grow his livestock business.
