Millicent's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer for the cultivation of maize.

Millicent's Group's story

Millicent, pictured above, has been a farmer for 18 years, and is now proud to represent her group of six farmers in Alego District. She is 32 years old, married, and has four children.

Millicent likes to think of herself as a very reliable person. She has been working with One Acre Fund since 2017, and she decided to represent her group because she wanted to help more farmers. She says that being part of the One Acre Fund community has meant that she has learned a lot from farming training. Millicent plans to use the profits from this coming season to send her children to school.

In total, Millicent's Group will receive inputs to cultivate two acres of land. Some members of the group also will be purchasing a solar light with this loan, so the group will receive two solar lights.
