Rose's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer to improve harvests of maize.

Rose's Group's story

Pictured above is Rose, who is often described as an extremely reliable person. She is 44 years old and has 10 children. As a group leader, she is representing her group of 10 farmers in Alego District, Kenya.

Rose is returning this season to work with One Acre Fund, which means that she will be able to get the best quality fertilizer and hybrid seeds. This is why she decided to join in the first place. Rose says that she is happy to have made that decision because, since she first joined in 2015, she has been able to consistently feed her family, which has improved her day-to-day life significantly. Rose will use the profits from this season to send her children to school.

The group will use this loan to purchase seeds and fertilizer to plant a total of seven acres. Some members of the group will also be purchasing a solar light with this loan, so the group will also receive two solar lights.
