Cathrine's Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy cost-efficient maize seeds and fertilizer for the coming harvesting season, as well as a solar light.

Cathrine's Group's story

Pictured above is Cathrine, often described as an extremely hardworking individual. She is 75 years old and, as a group leader, she is representing her group of five farmers in Alego District, Kenya.

Cathrine is returning this season to work with One Acre Fund again, as this means that she is able to earn enough to feed her family, which is why she decided to join in the first place. Cathrine says that she is happy to have made that decision because, since she first joined in 2018, she has been able to consistently feed her family, which has improved her day-to-day life significantly. Cathrine will use the profits from this season to buy a cow.

The group will use this loan to purchase a total of four solar lights as well as seeds and fertilizer to plant a total of 1.5 acres.
