Bridget's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more clothes to sell.

Bridget's Group's story

Bridget's group is comprised of three hardworking women. Bridget is 24 years old and lives in the town of Kabwohe in the Kabwohe region of Uganda. For the past four years, she has been working hard to manage her clothing business.

To help expand her business, Bridget has requested a share of 2500000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more clothes to sell, which will help Bridget generate greater profits. With these profits, she will be able to support her family and improve their standard of living.

Bridget hopes that in the future she will be able to open up a boutique.

Bridget is a member of BRAC's Empowerment and Livelihood for Adolescents (ELA) program. In addition to microfinance loans, the program provides both a safe place for young Ugandan women to take part in group activities, and a forum for life-skills training.
